PRODUCTS DESCRIPTION

Colloidal Attapulgite Powder Wide Application Field for  Indutrial Grade Molecular Sieve and Architectural Paints & Mortar

 

1.This product is characterized with strong adsorption and cohesion forces, and has good suspending and colloidal properties.

It can be made into mineral wool acoustic panel (e.g. ceiling) together with other fibers, which integ-  rates such functions as decoration, sound absorption, the-rmal insulation, fire prevention, energy conservation, disinfection and air cleaning.      

 

2.It will not react with the molecular sieve due to its inertia in the operative media,therefore, it is used as the binding agent of the molecular sieve, and can decrease the abrasion and wearing of the sieve, enhance the sieve strength, improve the appearance and quality.      

 

3.The product has such advantages as having high water absorption, good thermal and sound insulation, adhesive value and absorbability.Therefore, it can be used as the binder and bulking filler of the insulating glass desiccant and other desiccants.      

 

4.It can be used as the carrier of catalyst or the suspending agent of liquid fertilizer/pesticide due to its light specific gravity, strong suspending ability and adsorbability

Inorganic Gel Product Features

 

1. High viscosity, strong adsorption, strong adhesion, non-toxic, pollution-free, green environmental protection. Used in mineral wool sound-absorbing board (ceiling), resulting the functions of decoration, sound absorption, heat preservation, fire prevention, energy conservation, sterilization and air purification.

2. Good suspension, thickening, leveling and colloidal properties, widely applied in paint, putty, ink and other industries.

3. Inert and does not react with molecular sieve. Using it as molecular sieve adhesive can reduce the abrasion of molecular sieve, improve the strength, improve the appearance, and improve the product quality

4. High water absorption value, sound insulation, heat preservation, strong adhesion and good adsorption properties. Widely used as the binder and filler of insulating glass desiccant and other desiccants.

5. Light weight, good suspension, strong adsorption properties. Applied in catalyst carrier, medicine carrier and suspending agent of waterborne coating, liquid fertilizer, liquid pesticide and seed coating agent.

6. Salt resistance, not affected by electrolytes, mud-making in saturated water properties. Drilling mud processed with this product is suitable for drilling in marine and salt bearing formations.

In End-Use Applications -Attapulgite Thixotropic Agent

 

Attapulgite thixotropic thickening provides many beneits. At low shear it maintains high viscosity which minimizes sag and how after application, controls the penetration rate of adhesives and stains and prevents adhesive squeeze-out during high pressure laminating. High shear rates produce low viscosity that permits faster mixing prior to application, makes application easier, and improves leveling during the application of high viscosity mixtures.

 

Attapulgite is widely used in:

Paints & Coatings, Sealants, Mastics, Adhesives, Asphalt & Fire Retardant Coatings, Inks, Stains, Liquid Waxes, Sealers, Detergents, Creams, Plastisols, Friction Materials, Fire Proofing, Joint Compounds, Foundry Coatings and Pesticides.

 

 

This thixotropic effect coupled with suspension and its rapid recovery provides many other beneits. For example, in paints & coatings, Attapulgite improves:

Another key feature is its rapid recovery. Mixtures quickly return to their original viscosity after mixing or after being applied. Unlike many thixotropes, Attapulgite product does not fade in that this shear-thinning effect can be repeated endlessly without loss of original viscosity.
