Y Zeolite

Y Zeolite is a kind of micropores crystal material with framework structure, and the basic structure element is Si-O and Al-O tetrahedron which can form the secondary structure element like 4 membered ring, 6 membered ring and 8 membered ring by Si-O or Al-O bond. By connected with each other, the secondary structure element can form β cage.8 β cages arrange as diamond crystal pattern, and each C in diamond structure is replaced by β cage, and adjacent β cages are connected as Si-O -Si （Al）with 6 membered rings to form octahedral zeolite cage. A cell unit can be formed by connected octahedral zeolite cages with 12 membered rings.12-membered ring is the main window of octahedral zeolite cage with 0.74 nm of pore diameter.
 
1, Types of Y zeolite
Y zeolite contains NaY molecular sieve and modified NaY molecular sieve such as: NH4Y, HY, Ultra Stable Y zeolite (USY) and rare earth Y zeolite (RY).
 
2, Relationship between NaY and other modified products
(1) NaY is synthesized by the aluminum source, silicon source and structure director in a certain process condition.
(2) NH4Y is synthesized by NaY exchanged with NH4Cl.
(3) HY is synthesized by NH4Y calcined at high temperature.
(4) Ultra stable Y is synthesized by HY treated hydrothermally.
(5) Rare earth Y is synthesized by HY exchanged with rare earth.

3, Applications of Y zeolite
(1)Applied mainly in preparation of fluid catalytic cracking catalyst (FCC)
(2)Applied in preparation of deep catalytic cracking catalyst (DCC)
(3)Applied in preparation of hydrocracking catalyst
(4)Applied in preparation of high efficient adsorption separation purificant and desiccant.
